Putting controls out with Hanny, We made a mess of 6,5,4. We put 5 and 6 in the wrong spot which meant 4 didn't make sense.. So that took a couple of shots to get it.. but we didn't think that 5 and 6 were wrong.. got told by the juniors that they were though...

Was done as a bit of a interval session every 5 controls with Lizzie, Jas, and Greta. Still trying to make sure that I don't do too much in the forest on my knee.

Jukola.. 8 years after I was meant to run I finally got too.. even though it was in doubt as well in the last couple of weeks... Started off pretty well picking most of the right tracks to follow and passing a number of people.. that was the first half.. second half made too many mistakes lost too much time and started to die in the physicalness of the terrain.. Quite rough underfoot and took a lot of energy to run.. Probably not a bad result due to the lack of training the last couple of weeks but would have like to get rid of the mistakes (5-10mins) and that would have put me closer to the fastest leg time.. Oh well. Knee was pretty much pain free the first half and then the second half it was starting to get sore but all things considered it was pretty good.

My knee's too stiff again. Would have loved to run cause it looked so nice but I couldn't. Went out there cause Ludvig, Anton and Annika were going. Really nice place to visit.

Went for a run with Ludvig and Anton. So this was a pretty good follow course. I could hardly run and keep track of where we were due to the stuff on the ground, plus it was wet. Oh well nice day out. Knee a bit sore though.

Club training. Put the controls to the north out earlier and wasn't feeling it at all. Pretty tired from yesterday I think. So this was a bit more of a cruise around then. Had to jog home afterward... I was pretty tired

Started alright, was scared going to one cause it was quite low vis. Took a couple of stupid choices ie. long leg and 7 but oh well. Still confused by the mapping of detail such as going to 6, I got there but was relying on compass a lot.

Went out for a morning trott.. Getting around without too much errors but I'm just not confident at all. Things just throw me and I don't know exactly what it it looks like. Pretty tough running though as well. Oh well there is time for things to improve so all is good. Decided to not do too much on the knee as its still not 100% but it is going pretty well.

4th terrain run in Sweden and its contour only training. Hard but good fun. Totally had a lot of trouble working out what was up and down. Also learnt the importance of direction and following your direction in detailed areas and not getting distracted by things of to the side like on 10.

Course around some permanent controls.. which had small flags. Took it nice and easy on the knee. Also had the map draw over a old course which meant that I stopped too early on the way to 2.

Lots of small mistakes. Knee and calves were sore so felt like that I was cautious running through the terrain. And felt like I didn't have the extra kick that I had at easter.

Rubbish!!! Didn't know what was happening half the time. GPS track to about 7 had to be dragged around a lot due to lack of satelites so the areas near the start probably werent very acurate,

quite obismal in places. The lake on the way to 17 was huge.. I hit it a few times and gps says I didn't go near it. Then I decided i needed to bail to meet the others. I then initially thought I crossed the creek and sand in a different spot tried to correct it and that just turned out into a thick fight so bailed back around. quite entertaining night. good fun and very hard in places.
