2012 Easter Day 3 (09.04.2012)

I felt a bit leg tired at the start, after a tough race yesterday.
I took #1 carefully as it was a bit tricky, but I found it ok. I started to feel good on the way to 2 and I was moving quite fast and going well. This was too fast though for #3, as I thought that the 3rd clearing was the 2nd one due to exiting too far to the left and not checking my compass. This lead to a small parallel error, crossing the next gully and relocating 100m NE of the control on the small knoll with a big boulder on top.
I was more careful to #4, but just as I was about to cross the bare rock, I saw another flag 20m to my left on a similar rock feature, so I ran to it. It was in face a highpoint and a different control, so I lost another minute here.
Finally I found a good rhythm and the next few controls were good.
I found #9 ok, but I was pushed around by some poorly mapped dark green patches which were uncrossable. It didn't seem like this area of vegetation had been updated since the old map.
The route to #10 was uphill and really tough running. I attempted to head further north for better going. Again, the map didn't really help with runability on this leg. At this stage, it felt like most of the course had been up hill.
The rest of the course was mostly downhill, and I really enjoyed this part.
